Madeleine Peyroux is someone that always made me feel she must have been a novelist some time in another life, or is and will go back to it sooner or later. Each album is a tale taking place in another time, moment … strictly her own, and she can be extremely communicative with that. Like someone who would have an incredible abilty to turn any place into »home«, at any time of the day and life. So, this is somehow impossible to prefer this album to the next one, and the one we already have (if you do). Beyond tastes, under southern warmth and signs, pretty rare & so lovely (featuring Marc Ribot, Meshell Ndegeocello, Allen Toussaint … ).
