“The stylistic spectrum of XING ranges between melancholic melodies, Hip hop elements, R&B influences and a large amount of soul. With this different musical backgrounds and a deep, smoky voice, which also masters trebles lightly, the result is a full soundscape captivating beats and intimate lyrics with socially critical substance. Already as a teenager she noticed that she and her upbringing in a Chinese household have not been portrayed in the mainstream media. XING is paving its way own way, in music as well as in life. Sympathetically unembellished and she tells raw about experiences with body shaming, self-discovery, as well as dramas in Friendship and love in which listeners can find themselves. All of that is proven on her first self titled EP and the new singles “Rain”, „Unfocused“ and „Stitches“. Now it’s time for the second EP named „Peace Of Mind“ with a more synth-based sound and is looking forward to various Festivals, Clubshows, releases and collaborations planned for 2023. Live she is supported by Ines Kolleritsch (Keys, Backing Vocals), Julian Berann (drums) and Thorsten Kaiser (bass, synth bass).
