The band features Disa Jakobs on vocals, guitar and synths, Silas Tinglef on drums and guitar, Brian Batz on guitar, Jacob Haubjerg on bass, and Anders Trentemøller on synths.

Short bio:

Copenhagen-based Trentemøller has, over the last 25 years, achieved critical acclaim for his unique soundscapes and memorable melodies. Trentemøller’s music represents a constantly evolving series of themes and ideas, with each release representing the next chapter of his artistic journey. He explores contrasts and paradoxes in his work and acknowledges these themes in his albums. Trentemøller’s music often revolves around reminiscence and remembrance, yet he avoids nostalgia by infusing his tracks with contemporary elements. His debut full-length album, The Last Resort, was released in 2006 after a run of EPs. It topped several endof- year polls and exposed Trentemøller’s music to a broader audience.
The latest release, Memoria, his sixth studio album, features sombre, introspective pieces, motorik, dream pop, noise rock, and electronic pop. He continues to work with familiar subjects of light and dark, turbulence and serenity, piercing chill and comforting warmth, clearly inspired by the inherent antipodal elements of the Nordic environment he calls home. He pushes much further into this familiar territory while investigating new themes.

In recent years, Trentemøller has also remixed music by artists like Tricky, Savages, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand, The Knife, A Place To Bury Strangers, Soft Moon, UNKLE, adding to a list of over a hundred previously released remixes.

slow food is slow core; the five tracks are a diving board that spring you into sakura’s ethereal dream world and a ladder down to the depths of their most honest psyche. An ode to minimalist songwriting and a follow up to 2022’s guitar laden LP ‘skin’, the EP strips down on instrumentation but scales up on texture and detail, armed with a delicate and nourishing
emotional rigour.

Live, Sakura has been invited to share the stage with an impressive roster of artists ranging from supporting US altpop giant Mitski, to Danish shoegaze and experimental icon Trentemøller, as well as European indie staple Bar Italia. Sakura is also 1/3rd of the band Kin Dread along with local creative contemporaries Anthea and FARCE, where an exploration of sonic camaraderie and DIY subculture meets avant-garde offpop.
