The Performance aims to take the listeners on an underwater deep dive into finding one own’s safe space. The subconscious is explored in three languages and different musical stages ranging from still waters to thunderstorms. The listeners are enclosed by dripping sounds and experimental bass lines created by the Groovebox. The journey is guided by the voice of Selin Karaman.
Daphne Xanthopoulou
is a Greek sound artist currently based in Austria. Her sound takes chimeric forms and textures, morphing between eclectic influences that overrun east and west, club and bedroom, digital and organic, intimate and uncanny, visceral and abstract. Her latest album “The Plumb Sutra”(Bezirk Tapes, UK), was featured in Bandcamp Daily’s Best Experimental Music column in November 2021. She is currently studying new media at Interface Cultures MA, at the University of Art and Design, Linz.
Sounds of the Slaughterhouse
SOTS is a Vienna based improv music collective with a rotating cast of degenerates bringing you a fever dream of a show featuring: vape performances, drone EDM mashups, guided meditation, power noise comedy, a shabby Charli XCX wig, biodegradable glitter, the very best of Owl Sounds and gender fuckery.
For this show, they will present an original composition inspired by Gabber, Terry Riley’s „In C“ and doing too much mandy at Tomorrowland.
