Rent

Rent’s sounds refer to industrial ecosystems, interconnections, dark landscapes and their stories. At the same time, it is the processes of sound creation itself that emerge in Rent’s compositions: sounds influence each other, reinforce each other, cancel each other out, dissolve and become noise, sound like the city, a car alarm for example. Then everything gets lost in the fog again. Her second album Kill A Phantom was released in 2024 on the Viennese Label Ventil Records. Rent aka Katrin Euller is also part of several artistic collaborations and a member of the sonic collective EXIT VOID.

Evelyn Plaschg

Plaschg’s live performances are built on movements between rhythmic and drifting, whilst traveling through different velocities. Rhythms and harmonies emerge, run parallel, miss each other, or collapse into psychedelic forms, while the voice moves between sung, ambient layers and spoken passages. The tenor recorder, the voice, the synthesizers and field recordings blend into shifting constellations, whose changes and entries Plaschg sometimes seems to wait for. Her debut album Alphabet was just released in September 2026 on the label Plot Toy.

Jung an Tagen

Jung An Tagen invites us to reflect on the diffuse but persistent term “experimental” not as deviation from aesthetic orthodoxy, but as the design and implementation of compositional systems that offer unpredictable results; “electronic” as an annulment of the previous instrumental tradition, and as a simultaneous reversion towards aesthetic openness; as the fragmentation of a theoretical or mythical musical syntax by obsessive repetition, sequential motivic mutations, aleatoric arrays, pareidolic illusions and moiré effects; “electronic” as the ultimate split, de-humanisation, mechanic strangeness.

Sabisha Friedberg

Sabisha Friedberg’s composition, performance, and installation work draws upon a chimeric arcane, exploring perceptual delineation of space through sound, sculpture, light configuration, and visual time-based media. Integral to her practice, Friedberg’s work explores perceptual thresholds, often employing low frequencies with textural landscapes in compositions often presented in multi-channel, site-specific installations. The work articulates a devised metaphysical syntax which comprises a specific poetic narrative applied to solo or collaborative pieces. www.sabishafriedberg.net

Philipp Quehenberger

The renowned Vienna-based keyboardist and producer is known for his improvisational approach to electronic music. With an impressive history of notable releases on labels like Cheap Records, Editions Mego or most recently Other Machines, Quehenberger has built a reputation for a distinctive electronic sound. His improvisational ethos shines throughout his energetic live sets, allowing for spontaneity and exploration while maintaining a cohesive sonic narrative, where moments of unpredictability often lead to deep psychedelic revelations. www.philippquehenberger.com
