Migrationswissenschaftlerin Judith Kohlenberger (WU Wien), Asylexperte Lukas Gahleitner-Gertz (asylkoordination) und Aktivist Petar Rosandić (SOS Balkanroute) zeigen auf, wie der Umbau der Demokratie begonnen hat, wie Fake-News verbreitet und Gewalt normalisiert wird. Ein Weckruf.

Judith Kohlenberger ist Soziologin an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien und eine zentrale Stimme in der europäischen Migrationsdebatte. Sie spricht darüber, wie angstgetriebene Abschottungspolitik demokratische Strukturen untergräbt und autoritäre Tendenzen verstärkt.
Lukas Gahleitner-Gertz ist Jurist und Asylrechtsexperte der Asylkoordination Österreich, spricht über aktuelle Entwicklungen der Asylpolitik und über gezielte politische Desinformation zu Flucht und Migration. Er zeigt dies anhand von konkreten Beispielen auf.
Petar Rosandić spricht über die Auswirkungen der autoritären Wende, die bereits an den EU-Außengrenzen sichtbar sind, und teilt dazu Erfahrungsberichte aus erster Hand.

Judith Kohlenberger is a sociologist at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a key voice in the European migration debate. She will talk about how fear-driven isolationist policies undermine democratic structures and reinforce authoritarian tendencies.
Lukas Gahleitner-Gertz is a lawyer and asylum law expert at Asylkoordination Österreich (Asylum Coordination Austria) and talks about current developments in asylum policy and targeted political disinformation on flight and migration. He illustrates this with concrete examples.
Petar Rosandić will talk about the effects of the authoritarian shift that are already visible at the EU’s external borders and share first-hand experiences.
