In July something very special is happening in Vienna – the seven-piece band Crack Cloud from Vancouver is honouring the city with their first ever live performance in Austria. Stemming from a large mixed-media collective, the band similarly makes a somewhat mixed-genre music. Sometimes reminding you of Squid with their multi-instrumental ferocity, vocal harmonies and a groove that is irresistible, they can also take you to the colourful, art-punky realms as La Femme or Talking Heads do. Yet, comparisons only help so much as Crack Cloud plays a unique blend of music that just needs to be experienced live. While you’re waiting for that, get your tickets and listen to their live session and incredible music videos (they’re a mixed-media collective after all):

Nature Swim are a quite new addition to the Austrian music scene, but definitely one of the most beautiful. The duo consisting of Magdalena Erb and Gabriel Fischer their music feels like a dreamy walk through the autumnal woods or a velvety dream from which you never want to wake up. Sounds a bit cheesy, but what can we do, it is the truth. Joined by an amazing band in the live setting, they will bring their beautiful blend of slow rock, bossa nova and jazzy elements and dream pop to Fluc to put you in a dream state (which then will be torn apart by Crack Cloud, but in the best way possible).

Laundromat Chicks are an escapist guitar pop 4 piece from Lower Austria. Tackling themes you could find in a Wim Wenders movie through hook-heavy tunes with jangling guitar melodies, minimalist drums and zoned-out vocals. And now that they are with the great Siluh Records, we truly cannot wait what’s coming next!
