BOBBY WOULD Release-Show »STYX«
https://bobbywould.bandcamp.com/album/styx
The artist and musician Robert Pawliczek aka Bobby Would delivers unpretentious rock’n’roll lullabies, following an impressively simple composition principle: snippets of Croner oldies and rockabilly evergreens are looped and overdubbed by the musician’s voice and guitar. The result are newly turned, quasi appropriated lo-fi downtempo songs and charismatic lonely rider numbers. – “Wistful waltztime psychobeat for warding off / wallowing in the 2020-21 Weltschmerz”.
LEILA BORDREUIL
http://www.leilabordreuil.com/
Leila Bordreuil is a cellist, composer, improviser and sound artist based in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her musical language borrows concepts from harsh noise, free-jazz, contemporary-classical and other experimental traditions. Driven by a fierce interest in pure sound and inherent texture, Leila challenges conventional cello practice through original extended techniques and extreme amplification methods without effects pedals. Her compositions explore psychoacoustic happenings and sound-spatialization through multichannel and site-specific pieces.
DANIELLA LJUNGSBERG
https://itsqualitymusic.bandcamp.com/album/qm006-daniella-ljungsberg-we-are-not-going-to-drive-anywhere-css
Daniella Ljungsberg is a singer, composer and producer. Originally from sweden, today based in Jerusalem. After several years of attempts at experimental composition and music production based on “musique concrète” methods, Daniela Ljungsberg decided to compile a collection of poems from recent years into an album. In these works, Ljungsberg combined her love of field recordings, massive digital processing of acoustic materials and abstract noise into sample based songs, with an iconic quality that is usually absent from works in more abstract fields in which she previously created.
