DESCRIPTION:Olga Neuwirth / Elfriede Jelinek: Ghosts & Vampires | Musikverein\nIm Musikverein beginnt das gemeinsam mit Wien Modern gestaltete und produzierte fünftägige Porträt Musikverein Perspektiven: Elfriede Jelinek. Den Auftakt bildet um 16:00 Uhr im Metallenen Saal die Vernissage von Olga Neuwirths Multimedia-Installation Ghosts & Vampires\, die hier ihre Uraufführung erlebt. \nAls Vampirinnen Vampi und Bampi haben sich Olga Neuwirth und Elfriede Jelinek mit Humor und Ironie in ihre Oper Monster’s Paradise eingeschrieben. In der neuen Installation findet das Doppelporträt der seit vier Jahrzehnten befreundeten Künstlerinnen eine eigenständige Form: Auf einem Floß treiben die beiden über das Eismeer\, begleitet von Schubert und einem mit Erdbebendaten programmierten\, computergesteuerten Flügel\, der sich zunehmend ihrer Kontrolle entzieht. Die Installation verbindet eine neue Mehrkanal-Mischung der Orchesteraufnahmen aus der Schlussszene der Oper mit den Stimmen von Jelinek und Neuwirth selbst. Das Publikum kann sich interaktiv auf das Floß begeben. Ghosts & Vampires ist bis 4. November bei freiem Eintritt zugänglich\, am Eröffnungswochenende jeweils von 16:00 bis 22:30 Uhr.
